New Syllabus

One text is a visual text
Includes questions that ask students to compare both texts
How Cher's English Tuition can help your child excel in Visual Text Comprehension
Many students tend to overlook visual text comprehension because it’s only worth 5 marks, but every mark is important and can be the difference between an A and a B, or a pass and a fail. That’s why our lessons are designed to build critical analysis skills through diverse and engaging visual texts. Here’s how we do it:
Diverse Visual Text Exposure:
- We cover a range of visual texts, from infographics to advertisements and digital media, ensuring students develop a well-rounded understanding.
Focused Comparative Practice:
- Our curriculum emphasizes comparative analysis by providing a variety of questions. We give exam-like practice questions that closely mirror actual exam questions so that students know exactly what to expect and how to answer accurately.
Targeted Skill Development:
- Our knowledgeable tutors guide students through structured exercises to enhance their ability to analyse, compare and draw conclusions from visual texts, building confidence for their secondary school English exams.
With this comprehensive approach, your child will gain the skills necessary to excel in O Level English Paper 2 Visual Text Comprehension, boosting both academic performance and overall confidence.
