Teacher Samantha
Teacher Samantha brings over 7 years of teaching experience and a deep passion for English and Literature. Her time in MOE school settings and The Learning Lab has equipped with her a strong understanding of students’ learning needs and the techniques to help them improve.
Achieving straight A’s for both subjects in secondary school and JC, she later graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in English Lit, and is CELTA-certified, enabling her to support learners of all levels.
She is known for her engaging lessons and clear explanations. Her steady, encouraging approach helps students build confidence, strengthen important skills and develop a genuine appreciation for the English language — in exams and in everyday life.
Teacher Deborah
Teacher Deborah has guided many secondary school students to strengthen their skills and achieve progress. Having achieved an A2 in her own O Level English paper, she understands the demands of the exam and how to help students improve.
As an experienced online English educator, she tailors lessons to different learning needs, focusing on clear writing, thoughtful analysis, and strong communication. She believes English is not just about exams, but about learning to think critically, write with clarity, and express ideas with confidence.
Her patient and engaging approach motivates learners to stay curious, develop their own voice, and view English as a lifelong skill.
Teacher Cheryl
Teacher Cheryl is the co-founder of Cher’s English Tuition and an ex-MOE teacher with over 17 years of teaching experience. She holds a BA (Hons) in Education (2nd Upper) from NIE and a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics.
She leads the design of Cher’s curriculum and teacher training programmes, ensuring every lesson is aligned with MOE standards while remaining engaging and practical.
In schools, she held leadership positions, played essential roles in the implementation of English programmes, including introducing creative, interactive approaches such as drama-based learning into the curriculum.
